Local Coordinator
Work remotely with flexibility: recruit and match host families, guide exchange students through life-changing high school adventures and bridge cultures between students and local communities.
Role overview
As a Local Coordinator with Educatius, you recruit and vet host families, match students with great families, and act as the key liaison between students, host families (who receive a monthly stipend), and Educatius.
You ensure smooth, enriching exchanges that foster cultural understanding. This independent contractor role suits self-starters – retired educators, stay-at-home parents, or anyone seeking a fulfilling side opportunity with real impact and complete flexibility to fit your life.
What you will do
Recruit and vet host families, then match them thoughtfully with international exchange students.
Serve as the primary point of contact for students and families throughout the exchange process, providing support and guidance.
Post on social media (Facebook, Instagram, Nextdoor) in your area to promote opportunities and attract potential host families.
Monitor student well-being with monthly contact to both students and host families, filing a monthly contact report.
Coordinate important communications with students, host families, and Educatius.
Collaborate with schools and community organizations to promote the program and boost student engagement.
Maintain accurate records of student placements, communications, and program outcomes.
What you will bring
Do you have experience in recruiting, or strong willingness to build those skills?
Are you a self-starter with a can-do attitude and goal-driven mindset?
Do you have a background in teaching or schools (preferred but not required)?
Are you mission-driven and excited about cultural exchanges?
Can you communicate effectively with diverse groups and maintain regular contact with a regional manager?
Are you organized with attention to detail, able to work independently and handle multiple tasks?
Can you adapt to changes, solve problems, and prioritize flexibility?
